It goes back to the old expression, I don't need you to fix it, just hear me. So many people feel profoundly unheard, misunderstood, and unvalued. When we validate another, we are creating a healing and bonding moment. Validation is likely a different approach than you may be accustomed to, as we often want to fix, suggest, play devil's advocate, but with a little practice validation can become a more effective way to share your life and experiences.
