Things are changing in my life...I've ended a ten-year teaching career, I'm wrapping up my long-drawn-out PhD studies, coding dating literally after I finish this post, moving to the therapy practice space of my dreams, and starting my teen in high school. Life is good, I finally get to have one job, boy is that be novel, so it's time to blog regularly. Giving this some thought, I wondered what that would the blog look like, what will I write about, what do I have to contribute regularly that I can feel good about and believe may be useful? I came up with a quick list, which pleased me immensely and underscores that I still love this work, that being a couples counselor fires me up. That teaching clients about managing anxiety is still a hallmark of my daily work. That other aspects of therapy and growth inspire me to learn and communicate with others.
What You Will Find Here
So here's a list of topics that I work with regularly, read about, go to conferences, or study in greater depth.
I'll address topics as they arise, perhaps introduce a great book I'm reading, a resource I'm previewing for clients, a poem that touched me and seems useful. It will be flexible. After all, how do you know when you've gotten "good therapy"? When you become more flexible. No need to be rigid in this blog...fun, informative, most short and sweet...Maybe helpful and at the very least, you'll get an idea about me and what it might be like to work with me. Enjoy!
